BEWI is a social enterprise that is committed to gender empowerments and developments, which is consistent with my personal ethos, and conforms with the tenets of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 5.
The initiative is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship amongst women by mobilising support for women-owned ventures and businesses, the vulnerable group which includes children and female students. Over the years, BEWI africa has provided platforms for the incubation of female businesses and attracted support for burgeoning entrepreneurs in unlikely areas of commerce for women, especially those in the male dominated endeavours.
The initiative has encouraged some enterprising women to muster the courage to defy the inhibiting stereotype that prevented female entrance into jobs considered the exclusive preserve of men because of their technical and vigorous nature.
With this, BEWI africa is contributing to the global poverty reduction agenda and socio-economic growth of our society.
